Sr. System Engineer (Development) - Power Platform Solution Developer
Working Location: Doha, QatarContract Type: 15-month contract
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps to meet diverse departmental needs and user requirements.
- Build automated workflows with Power Automate to enhance process efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Create clear and concise reports and dashboards using Power BI for actionable insights and data visualization.
- Utilize Dataverse and other databases to securely store and manage application data.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand challenges, and define solution success metrics.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and security standards.
- Document solutions thoroughly, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users on developed solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features and functionalities.
- Identify opportunities to leverage the Power Platform for process improvement and innovation.
- Analyze business needs and user profiles to recommend the most cost-effective license configuration for each solution.
- Advise stakeholders on licensing issues and strategies for optimizing license utilization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage licenses effectively and track usage patterns.
- Design user-centric interfaces for Power Apps, ensuring intuitive navigation, accessibility, and optimal user experience across devices.
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine designs for optimal usability.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
- Experience in designing and building user-friendly and intuitive applications.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and business process automation concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Azure, SharePoint, and Office 365 is a plus.
- Experience optimizing license utilization and recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Deep understanding of Power Platform licensing models (Power Apps per user/per app, Power Automate flows, Power BI Pro, Dataverse storage) and their cost implications.
- Experience in database design and writing efficient queries.
