ROV Specialist
Location: Offshore, Maputo, Cabo Delgado, MozambiqueContract Type & Length: 12 Month Annually Renewable Contract
Rotation: 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off (7 days worked per week, 12 hours per day)
Target Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Act as technical leader for equipment and service contracts for 4 ROV units (2 on Drillships, 1 on STAD, 1 on Supply vessel).
- Participate in the installation of a base for the ROV Contractor.
- Supervise contract execution and ensure smooth and safe subsea operations.
- Set up the ROV contract for the development project.
- Participate in ROV spread integration on different drilling support (Drillship and Supply Vessel).
- Establish operational procedures to safely deploy ROV units from Drillships and Assistance Supply Vessel.
- Manage different ROV units to avoid waiting time, including use of Assistance Vessel.
- Participate in establishing procedures to test BOP panel at surface as acceptance tests for BOP or ROV system.
- Establish procedures to deploy acoustic beacons for rig positioning or station keeping.
- Establish operational procedures for drilling in mud return to seabed.
- Establish procedures for subsea activation tools to meet requirements.
- Identify and mobilize specific ROV tools as necessary for smooth operations.
- Control proper maintenance and/or repair of the different ROV units.
Requirements
- Engineering degree.
- Minimum 10 years in a similar assignment.
- Fluent in English (reading and writing).
- Strong team spirit and good listening skills.
Accountabilities
Ensure that ROV equipment is always available and in good condition for any kind of subsea intervention, supporting the success of subsea development operations.
