Key Responsibilities
- Work as an integrated team member with the Construction Team and Owner's Engineer, upholding the team's principles and ethics.
- Become familiar with technical requirements, specifications, design, and project documentation in the EPC Contract and PWPA.
- Attend project-related meetings as required by the Construction Director.
- Attend site meetings, take meeting minutes, and review contractor reports and other documentation as requested.
- Assist in coordination and planning with all third parties, including external agencies and facility stakeholders.
- Support in reviewing method statements, procedures, test plans, and related documentation for manufacturing, construction, and commissioning.
- Participate in inspection and witnessing of site construction and commissioning activities in conjunction with the Owner's Engineer.
- Participate in system walkdowns, punch-list creation, defects management, and NCRs.
- Review site test results and documentation.
- Support activities of the broader Construction and O&M Teams.
- Review and coordinate O&M manuals, spares, and planning activities.
- Maintain a daily activity diary as agreed with the Construction Director.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the Construction Director.
- Monitor financial performance of areas as requested, ensure alignment with guidelines, and report variances promptly.
- Provide input and help implement policies, systems, and procedures for the assigned team.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability, considering global standards and cost reduction.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports to meet internal requirements, policies, and quality standards.

Context & Work Environment
- Operate within a dynamic environment, with key decisions requiring consultation with the Construction Director.
- Work under mandates authorized by the Construction Director, focusing on task management, quality, and reporting.
- Participate in successful construction delivery and provide valuable insights within handled areas.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineering (or equivalent in I&C/electrical engineering) from a reputable university.
- 7 – 10 years of experience in similar roles in large companies, with project experience in complex environments in the power generation and desalination industries.
- Knowledge of conceptual design, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.
- Highly proactive with a focus on health, safety, and personal wellbeing.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Understanding of power/energy sectors, emerging trends, and technologies.
- Proficiency in English (required); Arabic is a plus.
- Demonstrated hands-on operational and implementation experience.
- Effective collaboration with stakeholders, senior management, and partners.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Strong 'can do' attitude and effective teamwork skills.
- Interest in personal development and being a productive team member.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation in Qatar.
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of relevant Qatari construction standards is advantageous.
- Good understanding of Qatar and GCC cultures and working environment.
