Finance Manager

Location: Milan, Italy
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time position

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the financial performance of projects (P&L, cash flow, actual vs. budget), ensuring accuracy, transparency, and financial control
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, cash flow reports, forecasts, and other key financial reports
  • Support the preparation of project budgets in close collaboration with technical and project management teams
  • Participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors on financial and commercial matters
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial results in compliance with local regulations and IFRS standards
  • Follow up on finance audit findings and support the implementation and monitoring of corrective action plans
  • Ensure smooth and timely compliance with local tax authorities and statutory requirements
  • Manage relationships with local banks, including account maintenance, payments, receipts, and foreign currency transactions
  • Support financial and tax due diligence processes related to the acquisition or disposal of projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree considered an asset)
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the construction and/or energy sectors
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, general chart of accounts, tax matters, and financial reporting under IFRS
  • Experience working in international environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent command of English (both written and spoken) and advanced knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with SAP considered an asset
  • Proven experience in people management with strong communication and teamwork capabilities
