About the Role
A leading international construction and infrastructure business is looking to appoint a Technical Team Lead to support the continued growth of its specialist civil engineering activities in Western Switzerland.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership position suited to someone with strong technical knowledge, proven project delivery experience and the ability to manage both people and client relationships.
The successful candidate will lead a regional team, support the delivery of complex construction projects and help develop new business opportunities across the local market.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting a technical construction team in Western Switzerland
- Overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of specialist civil engineering projects
- Managing client relationships and supporting business development activity
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard
- Supporting commercial, contractual and operational decision-making
- Promoting a collaborative, accountable and customer-focused working culture
- Working closely with internal teams, clients, suppliers and external stakeholders
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A technical qualification in construction, civil engineering, site management or a related field
- At least 5 years' experience in project leadership, site management or construction management
- Strong experience within specialist civil engineering, ground engineering, foundations, geotechnical works or complex infrastructure projects
- Good knowledge of Swiss construction standards, contract requirements and relevant industry regulations
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office
- Fluent French and strong German language skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management ability
- A confident, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in the Western Switzerland construction market
- Existing regional client or contractor network
- Experience with construction project management software
- Knowledge of LEAN construction methods
