About the Opportunity
A major offshore energy project is seeking an experienced Offshore Construction Manager to support subsea installation and offshore construction activities onboard Diving Support Vessels (DSVs).
This senior offshore leadership role will oversee offshore installation execution, subsea construction coordination, diving operations interface and contractor management activities across complex offshore oil and gas projects.
The successful candidate will bring extensive DSV experience, strong offshore construction leadership capability and a proven track record managing subsea installation campaigns safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead offshore construction and subsea installation activities onboard DSVs
- Coordinate offshore execution activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved procedures
- Supervise offshore construction teams, contractors and vessel personnel during installation campaigns
- Support offshore installation of subsea structures, pipelines and offshore facilities
- Ensure compliance with offshore HSE standards, permit-to-work systems and project procedures
- Coordinate vessel operations, diving activities and subsea construction interfaces
- Monitor offshore progress, construction performance and operational risks
- Support lifting, rigging and heavy offshore installation operations
- Participate in offshore planning, execution reviews and operational meetings
- Ensure offshore documentation, reporting and construction records are maintained accurately
- Interface with project management, marine teams, diving personnel and client representatives
- Support incident prevention, risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives offshore
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- IMCA Dive Supervisor certification is mandatory
- Valid offshore certifications including OPITO H2S and T-BOSIET are required
- Minimum 15 years of offshore installation experience onboard Diving Support Vessels
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership roles such as Offshore Construction Manager, Client Site Representative or DSV Superintendent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a diver or dive supervisor in air or saturation diving operations
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation methods and subsea construction activities
- Experience supporting installation of offshore facilities using installation vessels
- Strong understanding of lifting, rigging and offshore safety standards
- Previous experience with offshore permit-to-work systems is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication and team coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively within multinational offshore project teams
