Job Purpose

Plan, coordinate and execute the implementation of underwater marine services with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure multiple subsea assets (jackets, pipelines, and composite & data cables) are technically and visually inspected on a regular basis. This ensures all facilities are operated and maintained at optimum levels in compliance with both environmental and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwater Inspection Contract Management:
    Develop and manage underwater inspection contracts from tendering through to contract management, ensuring compliance with relevant company management processes (CPM).
  • Technical and Operational Support:
    Provide technical and operational input for both internal and external subsea construction and maintenance activities. This includes reviews for projects, approvals, and activity planning and reporting for all stages from planning to execution near and above operation subsea assets.
  • Coordination of Inspection Activities:
    Coordinate and execute underwater inspection activities to meet required equipment strategies for relevant facility networks.
  • Inspection Manual Development:
    Develop and maintain the underwater inspection manual and ensure adherence and compliance.
  • Communication and Documentation:
    Maintain comprehensive records, daily logs, issues registers, and interface tracking databases with third parties on all key items.
  • Policy Adherence:
    Ensure strict adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and agreements in all aspects of the business, maintaining compliance with local and other applicable laws.
  • Remedial Activity Coordination:
    Coordinate and execute subsea remedial activities such as pipeline free-span rectification, cable repair, riser clamps repair, and related tasks.
  • Project Support:
    Support new subsea projects by providing engineering reviews, including mechanical and structural design support, review of specifications, and scopes of work for third-party offshore operators.
  • Compliance Checking:
    Oversee compliance during the development of subsea activities by reviewing execution reports, daily progress reports, and mobilizing offshore representatives when required for concurrent activities.
  • Reporting and Notification:
    Process subsea pipeline integrity and project department reports to keep the consolidated field layout system up to date and inform national authorities of updated asset positioning.

Requirements

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 8 years' experience focusing on subsea construction, inspection, maintenance and repair, and diving operations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of process safety concepts and elements.
    • Experience with pipeline networks and structures in both onshore and offshore environments.
    • Knowledge of pipeline design codes and pipe-laying/crossing methods.
    • Background in marine surveys, ROV, vessel and barge operations, anchor handling, and diving systems.
    • Experience in structural analysis, subsea pipeline systems, piping materials and joining mechanisms, piping crossings, stress and stability analysis, and geotechnical engineering.
