Senior Naval Architecture Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Contract Duration: 6–12 months (extendable)
Work Schedule: 5 days per week, 8–10 hours per day
Assignment Type: Residential

Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Naval Architecture Engineer to support complex marine and offshore energy projects. This role involves leading design and analysis activities, contributing to innovative engineering solutions, and ensuring compliance with international standards across project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of marine vessels, including hull form optimisation and structural analysis
  • Support early-stage project studies and contribute to offshore and onshore energy infrastructure solutions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on greenfield and brownfield projects
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations of design concepts
  • Ensure designs comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Use advanced modelling tools for hydrodynamics, structural integrity, and performance analysis
  • Present technical solutions and project updates to stakeholders
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team
  • Stay updated on industry developments, standards, and emerging technologies

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience

  • 15–20 years of relevant experience in naval architecture or marine design
  • Proven track record delivering complex marine or offshore engineering projects

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in hydrodynamics, vessel stability, and structural analysis
  • Hands-on experience with engineering tools such as MOSES, ANSYS, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in CAD software for marine design
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Familiarity with classification standards such as ABS, DNV, or similar

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to work effectively within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proactive mindset with strong leadership and mentoring ability

Preferred

  • Experience with sustainable marine design practices
  • Exposure to project management tools and methodologies
