Key Responsibilities

Technical Competency:
- Ensure adherence to engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Standardize equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
- Provide technical supervision for Civil Structural designers and draftsmen.
- Prepare and check specifications and data sheets.
- Bid evaluation and vendor document review and approval.
- Review detailed designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
- Review and assess civil drawings and documents for building services and infrastructure elements.

Project Execution:
- Assist teams in meeting project scope, cost, and time requirements and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Implement innovative solutions and support quality activities.
- Assist project team with documentation, budget, and schedules.
- Manage design changes within budget and schedule.
- Prepare and participate in weekly meetings and progress reports.
- Review layouts, site preparation, and technical capacity of bidders' proposals.
- Perform verification, studies, and detailed design for cost and construction optimization, including HSSE.
- Lead or participate in technical reviews across scope areas such as land surveying, geo-technical investigation, drainage systems, and retaining walls.
- Review and prepare technical documentation for material requisition and construction subcontracts.

Project Deliverables:
- Gather data and prepare engineering studies, analyses, and calculations.
- Identify and resolve technical issues; recommend and document solutions.
- Create and finalize project documentation and pursue customer approval.
- Review and authorize work by direct reports.
- Evaluate new technology and revise standards as appropriate.
- Assist in procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Procurement Support:
- Prepare materials/equipment specifications and accurate requisitions.
- Conduct technical bid analysis and support inspection, testing, and vendor document requirements.

Site Support:
- Participate in constructability and maintainability reviews and incorporate requirements into design.
- Work with site teams to resolve onsite issues and approve as-built documentation.
- Lead on-site support during construction, commissioning, or turnover.
- Conduct site verification and data collection.

Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to Quality Assurance systems and promote health, safety, and environmental awareness.
Requirements

Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum 12 years' experience, including 8 years in conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design of onshore structures (8 years in Oil & Gas green-field and brown-field projects).
- Expertise in onshore Civil Structural engineering practices and design requirements for oil and gas/infrastructure facilities.
- Strong technical and practical skills in Civil Structural discipline.
- Experienced in reinforced concrete, earthworks, underground networks, piling works, and standards compliance (local & international).
- Proficient with civil/structural software: StaadPro, Sap 2000, Etabs, Safe, Autocad, and others.
- Knowledgeable in applicable industry codes and standards.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university (Full-Time).
- MME engineering accreditation (mandatory) or willingness to achieve within the probationary period.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is an advantage.

- Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards on projects and in behaviours.

IT Skills:
- Proficient with relevant software (listed above), Navisworks, E3D, SP3D, and others as required.

- Good English communication (spoken and written).
