Key Responsibilities
- Define the use of SAP Cloud ALM for operational monitoring, including application, integration, job, and business process monitoring.
- Provide recommendations for alerts, event visibility, and health monitoring.
- Establish how SAP Cloud ALM should support transport and change oversight, including support for Cloud Transport Management visibility.
- Assess change and deployment governance across Business Technology Platform (BTP) and S/4HANA-related scenarios.
- Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) operational readiness, ensuring visibility and support for CI/CD-enabled delivery flows.
- Provide recommendations for security monitoring, logging, alerting, SIEM integration, and operational controls for post-go-live support.
- Define SAP Cloud ALM support for BTP-related operations, overseeing relevant services such as Datasphere and business analytics solutions.
- Support go-live and post-go-live operational readiness, aligning with best practices in cloud application lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in SAP Cloud ALM, including monitoring, alerting, governance, and operational readiness for both Health Monitoring and Implementation.
- Experience with modern cloud implementation methodologies and best-practice operating models.
- In-depth knowledge of operational support in BTP environments, including experience with key services such as Datasphere.
- Proven experience with transport and change visibility, Cloud Transport Management, and delivery flows enabled by CI/CD.
- Comprehensive understanding of security factors including monitoring, logging, alerting, SIEM integration, and controls for stable operations.
- Strong ability to perform current-state assessments and provide best-practice recommendations, target operating approaches, gap and risk assessment, and prioritized actions for operational readiness.
Project Overview
The consultant will play a key role in establishing SAP Cloud ALM as the main platform for operational monitoring, governance, and readiness in a future SAP landscape. The scope encompasses monitoring and alerting, transport and change visibility, BTP service oversight, security monitoring, and the transition from project delivery to stable operations. This engagement aims to ensure readiness before go-live, reduce operational risks, and align the operational environment with cloud application management best practices.
