Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor, primarily focused on Civil construction, Steel Structure erection, and Architectural activities. In this role, you will oversee and manage the Civil Construction of a major project in collaboration with the client and will coordinate closely with multiple Civil Contractors.

The ideal candidate is a civil engineer with experience in major project civil construction, confident in managing teams, addressing contractual issues, and thriving under pressure alongside multicultural teams. Reporting to the CSA Superintendent Leader, you will serve as a key liaison among the client, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the client construction team with all aspects of civil construction, particularly under the framework of the PMC team's responsibilities including quality control, progress, financial oversight, risk and opportunity control, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with CSA Supervisors to ensure contractors deliver civil construction tasks in alignment with contract terms, project requirements, and timelines.
  • Work closely with the PMC construction team, reporting to the CSA Superintendent Leader.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies, strategies, and procedures for successful execution of project supplies.
  • Establish and maintain technical and administrative relationships with the client and contractors to resolve situations arising from project execution.
  • Provide support during civil construction for technical control, production, deadlines, costs, and health and safety; ensure all work aligns with engineering design (earthworks, piling, civil works, steel structure, architectural activities, etc.).
  • Ensure CSA activities across various contractors adhere to contract procedures, management plans, inspections, and design documents.
  • Guarantee compliance with all legal requirements relevant to the work's development.
  • Oversee quality control and verify that construction activities meet technical specifications and regulations.
  • Ensure technical documentation management, making management plans, certificates, manuals, and technical documents accessible to all contractors during construction.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with contractors to address delays, quality issues, and requirement changes.
  • Provide regular reports and alerts-inform the project team about supply status, potential risks, and propose corrective actions if necessary.
  • Offer planning support and collaborate with scheduling teams to track progress and plan upcoming construction phases.
  • Proactively identify project risks, create mitigation plans, and report promptly to Contract Manager and Project Management.
  • Issue and sign formal communications related to construction execution.
  • Perform other duties as designated by the CSA Superintendent Leader or the client.

Requirements and Skills

  • Degree: Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in Civil Construction in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Engineering and Construction, Steel, Mining, and/or Infrastructure
  • Collaboration with other Civil Supervisors and ability to anticipate and define project needs
  • Experience managing civil contracts and/or participation in PMC or EPCM services teams
  • Quality assurance and quality control expertise
  • Experience as Civil Construction Manager on major projects
  • Risk and mitigation planning skills
  • Commercial acumen and understanding
  • Experience working on technically complex projects
  • Willingness to travel to northern Sweden for 3 weeks per month
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Primavera, and/or Aconex
  • Fluency in English
