Key Responsibilities
- Manage all quantity survey activities for infrastructure and civil capital projects, including preparation and verification of Bill of Quantities, man-hour requirements, tender and contracts documentation.
- Participate in technical and commercial evaluations for tenders.
- Establish and update total installed unit cost data for a wide range of oil and gas and infrastructure projects.
- Upload additional cost data for completed projects to the Cost Estimating Database to improve the effectiveness of the in-house cost estimation database system.
- Act as the client's representative with responsibility for all cost engineering, budgeting, and invoicing matters for projects executed by the engineering departments.
- Determine applicable rates and estimation strategies, preliminary and general matters, and mark-up to be used for cost estimates.
- Endorse or reject contractor invoices and submissions for claims based on cost evaluation and assessment.
- Verify and endorse Bills of Quantities and man-hour requirements prepared by engineering consultants for use in tenders and contracts.
- Conduct physical verification and endorsement of re-measurable works of contractors.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or in an engineering discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years' experience in multi-discipline quantity surveying, especially for infrastructure and civil projects.
- Experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry is preferred.
- Practical experience with tenders, administration of re-measurable contracts, B.O.Q preparation, and estimation is required.
- Familiarity with SAP and MS Office applications.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
