Project Scope of Work

Located approximately 20 km east of the Gulf line and 12 km southwest of a major processing facility, this project aims to supply water from three sources for treatment and injection. The facility will process 1,400MBCD of water for injection, supporting production forecasts up to 2035 and maintaining the field's Maximum Sustainable Capability (MSC). Water facilities will be expanded to handle surplus produced water that exceeds the current system capacity, supporting operations up to 2035.

Job Purpose

Review design drawings and documents, material and equipment specifications, and analyze any deviations. Resolve piping-related engineering issues using recognized principles, codes, and standards. Apply deep knowledge of engineering practices, line designation, economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review and understand blueprints of designs prepared by planners and supervise installation works.
  • Plan and prepare schedules to ensure work finishes within deadlines.
  • Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the piping system.
  • Monitor job progress according to schedule.
  • Meet with architects and planners to discuss plans and clarify installation processes.
  • Implement and ensure safety measures in the workplace.
  • Prepare estimates for piping work.
  • Document project development stages.
  • Monitor contractor design, procurement, and construction activities to ensure optimal technical and economic solutions for M&P systems.
  • Ensure contractors comply with international standards, company specifications, and engineering best practices.
  • Advise on detail design reviews to help meet project milestones.
  • Participate in engineering reviews and coordinate field input.
  • Review and audit schedules, supporting procedures, and progress certificates.
  • Participate in HAZOP studies and construction risk assessment reviews, including constructability workshops.
  • Review field engineering-related procedures.
  • Coordinate 3D Model Reviews and TAG resolution.
  • Participate in interface reviews between project teams.
  • Support early construction scope development, contributing engineering input and contract requirements.
  • Review scope, MTO, pay items for change orders, and respond to Technical Queries.

Requirements

Educational & Technical Requirements:
  • Experience required on projects for a major energy sector client
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10-15 years of related work experience
  • Experience with:
    • Piping route design
    • Stress and surge analysis
    • Vendor packages
    • PMS and only ball valves
    • Engineering roles in Oil & Gas Projects from FEED to Completion
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Experience in both design and field implementation
