Job Title: OJT Instructor

Job Purpose
Deliver technical training and competency programs to ensure Operations Group departments staff have the right capabilities and skills to operate and maintain facilities in a safe and effective manner.

Reporting and Relationships
Reports to: Training Lead
Direct reports: None

Internal: Regular interface with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and Learning and Development as required.
External: Periodic contact with Contractors and other third-party service providers.

Job Context and Major Challenges
Deliver in-house technical and simulator training and implement competence programs in a multi-venture and multi-operator environment to meet competency standards.

Key Job Accountabilities
- Develop and deliver in-house technical training, simulator training, and competency programs to ensure staff have the right skills to operate and maintain facilities and fulfil Operations Group departments requirements for staff technical competencies.
- Analyse training and competency needs to develop and implement customized classroom training and simulator troubleshooting scenarios to enhance Operations and Maintenance personnel technical skills, including National Trainees and Graduates.
- Provide On-the-Job training to Operations and Maintenance staff and to Trainees/Graduates and ensure effective transfer of technical knowledge and skills between Trainees Coaches and employees.
- Conduct procedures assessment for Operations and Maintenance staff, covering technical theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and field knowledge.
- Implement, in coordination with Line Supervision, staff on-boarding programs to ensure readiness to operate and maintain allocated areas, units, and equipment.
- Conduct simulator training on plant models, enhance process simulator material, and develop customized troubleshooting scenarios.
- Implement specific metrics that identify measurable learning objectives to meet new facility requirements for staff readiness to start up new assets.
- Ensure process safety and incident and injury free culture components are properly and effectively embedded in all technical training programs.
- Prepare reports and discuss training outcomes with concerned Line Supervision and develop customized individual technical training interventions to bridge identified gaps.

Qualifications
- HND in Engineering.

Knowledge and Experience
- 4 years full-time diversified oil and gas operations experience, including 2 years in a training capacity.
- Extensive experience in Operations or Maintenance of oil and gas facilities.

Technical and Business Skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- High computer literacy: extensive knowledge of office productivity tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and document management/collaboration platforms.
- Good organizational and planning skills.

Contract Details

Location
- Onshore, industrial city in Qatar

Contract Type
- Contract

Working Schedule
- Work hours per day: 8-10 hours/day
- Work days per week: 5 days/week (Sunday to Thursday)

Leave Rotation
- Single status: 12 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Married status: Residential; 30 days off annually

Work Location
- Onshore location in Qatar

Contract Term Duration
- Two (2) years initial contract with a possibility of extension.
