Role Objective / Success Criteria / KPI

  • Responsible for electrical supervision, electrical QC, and commissioning activities
  • Manage overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule
  • Oversee commissioning planning, time scheduling, and quality control during electrical installation (LV, MV, HV, and SCADA components)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time commissioning of the onshore substation ready for handover to operation
  • Establish and manage an effective onshore commissioning organisation covering the full electrical scope-including installation, quality, and commissioning of LV, MV, HV, protection, and SCADA equipment
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with main suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Secure the quality of commissioning works and documentation
  • Report installation and commissioning progress and participate in commissioning meetings
  • Ensure all commissioning is completed in due time and to the agreed quality standards
  • Contribute to Design Critical to Quality (CTQ), update and transfer CTQ control to Quality Activity Schedule (QAS) post contract signing

Key Tasks

  • Manage overall commissioning timetable, including key milestones
  • Supervise and conduct quality control during mounting/installation of electrical systems
  • Coordinate electrical installation and commissioning activities performed by suppliers, contractors, and project teams
  • Participate and coordinate witnessing of FAT, SAT, and execute SIT tests
  • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project HSE rules and local legislation
  • Report commissioning activities to project and site management
  • Coordinate with grid company, authorities, project managers, and SAPs
  • Actively capture lessons learned and contribute to project evaluation
  • Create and monitor execution of QAS and align input from SQM
  • Review supplier ITPs to verify and validate product quality controls (QC)
  • Manage product NCRs and review product/as-built documentation during execution
  • Ensure maintenance is performed as per manual

Decision Authority / Responsibility

  • Request commissioning resources internally and externally, including replacement as required
  • Initiate required project activities to ensure commissioning progress within approved scope and budget
  • Propose mitigations and supplier follow-ups to project managers
  • Make site-specific and quality control decisions relating to suppliers

Requirements

  • Experience: At least five years of relevant project experience
  • Project Management: Strong project management, coordination skills, and the talent to drive solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Personal Attributes: Strong personal drive and a proactive mindset
  • Technical Skills: Commissioning experience with MV/HV equipment, SCADA, low voltage, and utility installations/components
  • Preferred: Experience working with offshore substations
