Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma: Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an internationally recognized university
Experience
- 10 to 15 years of overall Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) experience in construction of offshore topside structures, modules, or living quarters within the oil and gas industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external departments, agencies, contractors, and vendors
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise EPIC contractors during construction activities at site
- Review detailed design drawings, method statements, and material requisitions
- Coordinate mobilization of contractors onsite
- Supervise and approve construction activities, including inspections, material submissions, and processing documentation
- Carry out daily checks on contractor staff and completed work to ensure compliance with contractual specifications
- Manage all Electrical/Instrument Construction activities including site investigations and surveys
- Supervise earthing and lightning protection installation
- Supervise installation of lighting and small power systems, cable tray installation, and fire alarm system cable works
- Finalize cable entries, routes, and diversions
- Manage control and power cable installation and terminations
- Supervise fiber optic cable installation and splicing
- Supervise fire alarm, repeater, and mimic panels installation
- Supervise installation of control junction boxes and panels
- Interpret equipment layout drawings
- Coordinate with mechanical, HVAC, fire alarm and loss prevention, building services teams, etc.
- Conduct cable termination and loop checking
- Witness site acceptance test (SAT) pre-commissioning activities
- Maintain daily progress records and report anomalies or contractual deviations, recommending corrective actions
- Sign work permits and ensure contractor compliance
- Participate in development of as-built documentation
- Prepare punch lists for finished work and focus on EHV equipment quality checks
- Work closely with other construction supervisors
- Report to senior construction supervisor regarding main issues, site events, and provide improvement recommendations
- Supervise contractor safety, enforce safety standards, and help prevent site accidents
- Liaise with QC inspectors on quality matters
- Liaise with HSE supervisors on safety matters
