Project Scope of Work

Located approximately 20 km east of the Gulf line and about 12 km southwest of an existing processing facility, this project aims to supply water from three sources-an existing facility, a new central processing facility, and a local aquifer-for treatment and injection. The facility will process 1,400MBCD of water for injection to support production forecasts up to 2035 and help maintain maximum sustainable capability. The scope also includes expanding water facilities to handle surplus produced water, exceeding current formation system capacity through the year 2035.

Job Purpose

Lead, review, assess, and manage the scope of works of the allocated FEED/EPC package under the direction of senior project engineers and the project manager. Participate in, guide, and manage the FEED/EPC contractor in developing the defined scope of works in various Work Entity Releases relevant to the FEED phase.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise civil and structural engineering execution in detailed design and produce calculations for heavy equipment foundations, buildings, and steel structures.
  • FEED/EPC analysis and design of modular steel structures, including sea transportation, lifting, skidding, load out, and stress analysis.
  • FEED/EPC design of structural steel and precast pipe racks.
  • FEED/EPC design of technological structures and process plant structures.
  • FEED/EPC design of blast resistant buildings.
  • FEED/EPC design of foundations for compressors, pumps, exchangers, coolers, process columns, steel stacks, horizontal vessels, and pipe supports.
  • FEED/EPC design of specialist structures such as chimneys, natural draught cooling towers, pre-stressed bridges, and arch bridges.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with international design codes and standards including American, British, and International Building Code (IBC).
  • Plan and conduct independent work requiring sound judgement in evaluating, selecting, applying, and adapting engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and calculations, monitoring for compliance with codes, engineering practices, and standards.
  • Coordinate design efforts to support material requisitions, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  • Analyze disputed items from technical and contractual perspectives and prepare official responses.
  • Process and follow up on change order requests, prepare justification worksheets, issue change order requests, and lead scope alignment with contractors.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline
  • Experience: 10-15 years in the oil and gas industry on petrochemical projects
  • Specific Experience:
    • Topographic, geotechnical, and geophysical surveys (including underground detection)
    • Primary focus on ground, foundations, infrastructure, and site works
    • Site grading and earthworks
    • Foundations
    • Excavations and backfill
    • Roads and pavements
    • Drainage
    • Underground utilities
    • Temporary facilities to support construction
  • Solid working knowledge of key industry standards and procedures, as well as international standards
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal
