CADD Designer (Piping / Civil / Electrical / Instrumentation)

Minimum Qualifications
- Required: Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering
Minimum Work Experience
- 8 years of experience with reputed engineering firms in brownfield Oil & Gas projects as a CADD Designer - Specialist/Expert
- Relevant Certification in Design using CADD Tools
- Able to work independently and willing to undertake both office and field-based tasks
- Proficiency in design and drawing preparation for multiple plant projects
- Expertise in using Bentley MicroStation & Descartes, Autodesk AutoCAD & Navisworks, Intergraph S3D & SPPID
Key Responsibilities
Piping:- Design and develop all types of piping design deliverables, including preparing 2D & 3D designs of piping general arrangements, equipment layout, piping isometrics, pipe support layouts, etc.
- Develop 3D models in S3D/SP3D, ensure clash-free design, and extract all piping and other relevant deliverables
- Apply knowledge of Safety in Design (SID)
- Prepare material take-offs of all piping-related items
- Perform design verification through single discipline checks (SDC) and/or inter-discipline checks (IDC)
- Conduct interdisciplinary checks of all civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings
- Gather data from site for design and development of engineering packages and as-builts
- Review contractor, vendor, and third-party drawings for project design packages
- Support project and discipline engineers to complete all design activities on time
- Basic understanding of process piping standards such as ASME B31.3
- Design and develop civil & structural engineering deliverables, including 2D & 3D designs for platforms, pipe racks, pipe supports, equipment/building foundations, architectural drawings, steel/concrete beams and columns details, structural connection details, MTOs/BOQs, as-builts, and other related drawings/documents
- Apply knowledge of Safety in Design (SID)
- 3D modelling in S3D/SP3D and extraction of all civil/structural and other relevant deliverables
- Prepare material take-offs of all concrete, re-bars, and structural related items
- Produce underground facilities design packages for drainage trench/culverts, valve and other drainage pits
- Perform design verification through SDC and/or IDC
- Conduct interdisciplinary checks of all civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings
- Gather data from site and develop design packages and as-builts
- Review contractor, vendor, and third-party drawings for project design packages
- Support project and discipline engineers to complete all design activities on time
- Design and develop electrical engineering design deliverables, including cable/trays and cable routing layouts, cable schedule/list, consumer/load list, single line diagram, inter-connection & wiring diagram, control schematic diagram, grounding/earthing layout, block diagram, motor control schematics, electrical building and equipment layout, lighting layout, hazardous area classification, MTOs/BOQs, as-builts, and other related drawings/documents using 2D and 3D tools
- Prepare material take-offs of all electrical related items/components
- Apply knowledge of Safety in Design (SID)
- Perform design verification through SDC and/or IDC
- Conduct interdisciplinary checks of all civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings
- Gather data from site for preparing design packages and as-builts
- Review contractor, vendor, and third-party drawings for project design packages
- Support project and discipline engineers to complete all design activities on time
- Basic knowledge of electrical related codes and standards
- Design and develop instrumentation engineering design deliverables, including INTOOLS wiring, loop drawings & strip report generation, instrument hook-up diagrams, instrument and JB location plans, fire and gas location plans, instrument cable block diagrams, instrument index and I/O list, instrument cable schedule, instrument wiring and loop diagrams, cabinet drawings update, cable/trays and cable routing layouts
- Knowledge of cable trench and duct bank sizing calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations
- Prepare as-builts and other related drawings/documents in 2D
- Apply knowledge of Safety in Design (SID)
- 3D modelling of instruments (offline process instruments, F&G instruments, and telecom instruments)
- Prepare material take-offs of all instrumentation related items/components
- Perform design verification through SDC and/or IDC
- Conduct interdisciplinary checks of all civil, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings
- Gather data from site for preparing design packages and as-builts
- Review contractor, vendor, and third-party drawings for project design packages
- Assist in the coordination of all design activities related to the discipline
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation related international codes and standards
