Senior Business Demand and Information Architect

Role Purpose / Success Criteria / KPIs
- Lead and structure the end-to-end business demand process, covering intake, analysis, prioritisation, decision-making, and follow-up.
- Translate business needs into clear IT demands, value cases, and measurable outcomes with defined scope, acceptance criteria, and KPIs.
- Support implementation of the Data Governance Office and governance model to ensure business data is accurate, trusted, usable, and aligned with operational and analytical needs.
- Establish a holistic and future-proof view of information, data, and IT capabilities across the Customers Nordic business area.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in business demand governance and maintain transparent intake, analysis, prioritisation, and decision documentation across stakeholders.
- Capture, analyse, and structure business needs, converting them into well-defined IT demands with clear business value and measurable outcomes.
- Maintain a holistic view of the IT landscape and demand portfolio, balancing short- and long-term functional, commercial, and strategic needs.
- Develop and communicate a shared business information glossary across Customers Nordic.
- Establish and maintain a shared data model supporting consistent use of business information across the organisation.
- Define shared and local data needs, ownership, domain boundaries, and standards in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Work with the System Owner and Data Governance Lead to define common data-quality standards across Customers Nordic.
Tasks
- Structure data domains and organise shared versus local data using DAMA and Data Mesh principles.
- Support projects and business demands through information and data analysis, architecture guidance, and decision material.
- Use data and insights to identify business pain points and opportunities across customer behaviour, sales performance, and process efficiency.
- Translate identified opportunities into prioritised demands, value cases, and practical improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to business, process, data, and IT transformation programmes and help move the organisation from current to target state.
- Collaborate closely with the Data Governance Lead, System Owner, Demand Architects, business security representatives, internal IT, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate development alternatives against enterprise architecture, information security, data-governance, and organisational standards.
Deliverables
- Transparent demand-intake, prioritisation, and decision records supported by clear stakeholder governance.
- Defined IT demands with agreed scope, acceptance criteria, KPIs, expected business value, and follow-up measures.
- A shared business information glossary and data model across Customers Nordic.
- Defined data domains, ownership, shared-versus-local information principles, and common data-quality standards.
- Architecture recommendations, value cases, and transformation roadmaps supporting delivery from current to target state.
Authority / Accountability
- Lead the business demand and information-architecture process from initial intake through to prioritised, measurable outcomes.
- Balance stakeholder interests, create alignment, and make or facilitate timely decisions needed to achieve agreed outputs.
- Represent sound IT and information-architecture practice in projects, programmes, and operational assignments.
- Drive change from current to target state while maintaining alignment with enterprise standards, security expectations, and business priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Information Systems or a comparable discipline and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of utility and electricity-sector business processes and supporting IT capabilities.
- Extensive information-architecture experience covering demand intake, analysis, prioritisation, value cases, and follow-up.
- Deep business and IT architecture experience across process, information, and system views, preferably within a large international organisation.
- Strong knowledge of DAMA, Data Mesh, data domains, ownership, data governance, and data quality.
- Strong analytical skills covering KPIs or OKRs, data-led decision material, and collaboration with BI and analytics teams.
- Proven leadership and change-management experience, including agile delivery and stakeholder influence.
- Ability to incorporate security regulations and information-security considerations into architecture work.
- Fluent Swedish and English.
- Strong Enterprise Architecture expertise is essential; Solution or Application Architecture experience is advantageous.
