Senior Construction Supervisor - Offshore Fabrication and Hook-Up

About the Opportunity
A major offshore energy project is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Supervisor to support fabrication, offshore hook-up and brownfield modification activities for offshore production and wellhead facilities.
This role will oversee structural, piping and mechanical construction execution across fabrication yards, offshore installation campaigns and hook-up activities, ensuring all work is delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with approved engineering standards and project requirements.
The successful candidate will act as the client representative at fabrication yards and offshore locations, coordinating closely with contractors, engineering teams and project stakeholders throughout FEED, EPIC and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise structural, piping and mechanical construction activities for offshore oil and gas facilities
- Manage day-to-day construction execution across fabrication yards, offshore hook-up and brownfield modification activities
- Ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with approved scope, engineering drawings, specifications and HSE requirements
- Act as client representative during fabrication, offshore installation and hook-up campaigns
- Review and approve contractor deliverables, method statements, inspection test plans and construction procedures
- Participate in FEED and EPIC engineering workshops and technical reviews
- Support constructability reviews, SIMOPS, HAZOP, HAZDEM, lifting studies, 3D model reviews and schedule risk analysis activities
- Monitor contractor performance, manpower deployment, equipment utilization and project progress
- Identify construction risks, bottlenecks and schedule impacts while supporting mitigation initiatives
- Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly construction progress reports
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commissioning and operations teams throughout project execution
- Support mechanical completion, MCC walkdowns, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Monitor contractor compliance with permit-to-work systems and offshore safety requirements
- Coordinate contractor and vendor mobilization and demobilization activities
- Participate in HSE audits, inspections and site walkthroughs
- Support development and enhancement of construction standards, procedures and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Additional training in Safety, Quality Control or Construction Management is advantageous
- Minimum 12 years of experience supervising fabrication and offshore hook-up activities for oil and gas projects
- Strong experience supporting offshore topsides, wellhead platforms and jacket construction projects
- Experience with FEED and EPIC project execution is essential
- Strong capability reviewing and approving contractor deliverables and construction documentation
- Experience supporting fabrication yards, offshore installation barges and brownfield offshore modification projects
- Strong knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control and HSE requirements
- Experience reviewing method statements, inspection test plans, schedules and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with PDMS and engineering review systems
- Strong communication, reporting and contractor coordination skills
- Ability to supervise multinational and multicultural contractor workforces
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
