Senior Flow Assurance Engineer
Location: Leatherhead, UK (3 days per week in the office, 2 days remote)Contract Type: Contract Position

Job Description
Working as part of an International Consulting Department offers you an opportunity to be part of a global, diverse, service-oriented organisation. You will work as part of small project teams developing concept and early project definition in the Oil and Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and expertise during study execution.
- Conduct Flow Assurance studies using software packages such as OLGA, PIPESIM, etc.
- Develop pipeline simulation models, perform simulations of selected cases as defined by self or project, and assess simulation results.
- Interface with client technical staff to develop and present outcomes and discuss technical issues; travel to client sites or offices may be required.
- Perform design calculations and prepare technical reports in accordance with company and project quality requirements.
- Guide and supervise junior engineers.
- Lead, or be part of, project and study teams according to the work scope.
- Contribute to flow assurance strategies, philosophies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
Requirements
- Experience in single and multiphase pipelines (steady state and transient hydraulic) analyses using industry standard software such as OLGA, PIPESIM, PIPENET, etc. is essential.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in flow assurance modeling using OLGA transient simulation software.
- Experience assessing flow assurance issues like slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion, corrosion, etc. by use of simulation software and providing the best mitigation solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-discipline project group with minimum supervision.
- Experience in pipeline sizing and thermo-hydraulics studies, transient analysis covering shut down, blowdown, start-up, ramp-up/turndown scenarios.
- Experience in pipeline overpressure protection studies including surge pressure analysis.
- Knowledge of flow assurance issues including slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion, corrosion, etc. and mitigation methods.
- Good understanding of thermodynamics and experience of Multiflash preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
- Experience in flow assurance conceptual and front-end studies and topsides process engineering activities including process modelling in HYSYS would be an advantage but not essential.
- Operational experience would be a benefit but not essential.
