Key Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Commissioning Site Head in supervising contractor activities related to the commissioning of 9 new well head platforms during both preparation and execution phases.
- Review commissioning preparation by the contractor, including database population, procedures, leak test pack preparation, and operational test procedures (OTPs).
- Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning preparation and execution at fabrication sites and offshore locations to ensure installations are ready for operation on schedule.
- Lead the WHP Commissioning Supervisors Team during onshore and offshore phases.
- Supervise leak tests and process OTPs during commissioning activities.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with project HSE instructions and policies, proactively addressing and reporting any HSE deficiencies.
- Review and, if necessary, write pre-commissioning/commissioning procedures to meet project milestones.
- Promote safety within commissioning activities and ensure procedures are followed by all parties.
- Coordinate with other project entities and disciplines to maximize onshore commissioning and minimize lost time due to interfaces.
- Ensure comprehensive lists of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, including operational test procedures and preservation procedures.
- Ensure availability of necessary spare parts, consumables, equipment, and special tools for process-piping pre-commissioning and commissioning.
- Oversee contractor's piping-process commissioning activities using OPERCOM methodology and ICAPS software.
- Supervise reporting of commissioning execution to ensure all technical and contractual information is properly recorded and available for inspection.
- Control and follow up on red line mark-up drawings and leak test activities.
- Oversee vendor commissioning scope, including SAT, OTPs, document updates, punch list closure, and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in engineering.
- At least 15 years' experience in the offshore oil & gas industry, with a minimum of 10 years in a lead commissioning role.
- Proven track record of leadership and problem resolution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Available for technical missions worldwide.
- Experience with relevant standards, OPERCOM and ICAPS methodologies, document control, and applicable codes and standards.
- Fluent in English.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
- H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
Additional Information
- Project involves development of 9 new offshore platforms and associated jackets, with activities executed across multiple international sites.
- Work may require missions for Factory Acceptance Tests worldwide.
- Brownfield environment with complex interfaces and operations.
- EPC execution at contractor premises in Qatar, then China (resident basis), and offshore ALS field (rotation basis).
