Job Description

Support drilling assets within the Drilling and Wells department, ensuring continuity of supervision on board the rig during night operations. Adapt to changes in work practices and job activities as required. Deliver efficient reporting and maintain a high standard of daily drilling reports. Supervise service companies providing fluids, cement, and waste management services.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the implementation of drilling programs and assist with work instructions.
• Ensure operations are accomplished in compliance with company rules, safety, and environmental protection standards.
• Optimize rig equipment and processes in collaboration with contractors.
• Reinforce the application of best working practices to ensure compliance with HSE rules, prevent major accidents, and minimize non-productive time.
• Issue daily drilling reports using the designated reporting system.
• Conduct cost follow-up and tracking, anticipate potential problems, and plan alternative strategies.
• Anticipate equipment needs and communicate requirements.
• Contribute to the improvement of skills and know-how within the team.
• Compile night lessons learned, enhance drilling performance, and advise on tracking improvements.
• Ensure continuity of operations between night and day shifts.
• Ensure that HSE standards are fully respected and known by all personnel.
• Actively participate in safety awareness and initiative schemes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• More than 5 years of experience in an operational drilling environment.
• Strong knowledge of offshore and specifically deepwater environments.
• Familiarity with industry referential, processes, and methods.
