Job Title: FPSO Conversion Delivery Lead

Reporting To: FPSO Delivery & Offshore Execution Manager

Division/Department: PLS/ PBxx/ PBxx

Working Location: KL Office

KEY OBJECTIVES
The FPSO Conversion Delivery Lead provides execution ownership and accountability for the FPSO EPCIC conversion scope within a deepwater replacement project. This role ensures safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of the FPSO conversion package, aligning engineering, fabrication, integration, and offshore installation with overall project milestones and governance requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execution Leadership: Full accountability for FPSO EPCIC execution performance and delivery. Lead day-to-day delivery of the FPSO conversion scope, ensuring alignment with project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Contractor Oversight: Manage EPC contractor performance, monitor progress, and resolve technical or contractual issues before escalation. Including but not limited to:
- Contractor management of shipyard conversion or new build performance, including fabrication, module integration, and sequencing.
- Ensure FPSO readiness to sailaway including mechanical completion, onshore pre-commissioning, HUC readiness, and integration with offshore campaign.
- Support the project manager in commercial management, change management, claims and entitlements, and enforce contract deliverables.
Schedule & Risk Management: Track critical path activities, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to protect sail away and first-oil milestones. Includes ownership of schedule recovery planning, identification of potential critical path delays, establishment of recovery plans with contractor, and resolution of any constraints affecting schedule.
Interface Coordination: Collaborate with Interface Manager, Engineering, Commissioning, and Subsea teams to ensure seamless integration with other packages. Accountable for enforcing interface resolution, including commissioning and operations readiness.
Governance & Reporting: Provide structured reporting on FPSO conversion status, risks, and mitigations to the Project Manager and senior leadership.
Safety & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with SSHE and QA/QC standards during fabrication, integration, and offshore execution.

KEY AUTHORITIES
Budgetary authorities will be within those limits specified by the Project Manager, FPSO.
Ensuring that all project activities comply with all company, PETRONAS, and government requirements and regulations.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities are:
- Shared responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all persons at any Construction & Operations site, including staff, service personnel, contractors, and visitors and for local environmental safety.
- Manage the activities and work program are supervised by the appropriate Supervisors & Superintendent.
- Ensuring that the construction and operations work activities are performed in accordance with the applicable Company Management System, Policies, Procedures, work instructions and regulatory requirements.
- Report all accidents, incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences to the Production Manager. Ensure reports are legible, comprehensive, and timely, and any additional information pertinent to the report is attached as per Management System Procedure.

REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE)
Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Offshore Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
- 15+ years of proven experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects, with at least 7 years in FPSO new build or conversion, including direct and demonstrated experience of:
- FPSO EPCIC delivery and contractual oversight through to sail away and offshore installation phases.
- Oversight of conversion shipyard refurbishment, Life Extension and Conversion.
- Design safety case and operational safety case, HAZOP, HAZID, constructability reviews, constructability and PDMS model reviews.
- Classification Society requirements and oversight of contractor compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Engineering and procurement of major engineered and long lead packages.
- Fabrication and construction of modules, integration in the shipyard, and sequencing.
- Interface accountability and resolution between topside, marine and subsea systems.
- Accountability for schedule recovery planning and mitigations.
- Punch list management, offshore hook up, and commissioning.
- Proven track record in managing large FPSO newbuild and/or conversion projects (greater than USD 500M) including full responsibility for EPCIC contract ownership, conversion and integration yard delivery, and demonstrated leadership role during execution phase.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
