JOB DESCRIPTION
The Completions Engineer is responsible to coordinate and execute the Construction &
Commissioning Completions process on our client's projects around Rotterdam, using the
tools and work processes specified by our client.
You will be responsible to coordinate the completions process, including the use of
Inspection Test Records (ITR), updating the Completions database, manage punch lists and
handover documentation. You will report to the site Commissioning manager with support
from the regional Senior Completions Engineer at our client.
This is a key position in our project teams, with interfaces towards Construction,
Commissioning, Quality and Planning and the main Construction Contractor.
Your Key tasks and Responsibilities:
You will lead and execute the Completion activities throughout the project, and
implement the project's Completions Management System.
You will build and maintain the Completions Database, following the Commissioning
System definition. Together with engineering colleagues, you will assign the correct
ITR (Inspection Test Record) template to each tag. You will keep the Completions
Database up to date after design updates or plant modifications.
You will support your colleagues in the uploading of Inspection Test Records (ITRs)
into the Completions Database
You will contribute to the hand-over process from Construction to Commissioning,
and from Commissioning to Operations, by preparing Handover Dossiers and
Completions Certificates for each system.
You will contribute to Completions Progress meetings and plan the System
Walkdowns. You will manage the project Master Punch Lists
You will implement the Equipment Preservation tasks in the Completions System, as
advised by the discipline engineers for the project
You will provide user training on the Completions Management System software to client staff
and Construction Contractor staff. In case you have no prior
experience, you will be trained by our client into this software.
You will issue regular Completions progress reports, with clear display of status and
progress.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
At least 3 years' experience with Completions jobs such as: Completions Engineer,
Turnover Engineer, Handover System owner, Punch List Coordinator or similar roles.
You have working experience either with EPC Contractor companies, or with Client
companies in chemicals, utilities or oil & gas industry
At least 3 years' experience with Completions Management Systems.
Good understanding of systemization, the handover process of systems, QA/QC
systems and inspection requirements in chemical / oil & gas industry.
Experience with preservation management through Completion Systems Software
Experience with working at project sites, safe working practices and compliance to
HSE rules.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, international project teams. Good communication
and cooperation skills with different disciplines.
Experience with MS Office applications and preparation of project progress reports.

Work Location
Our client is currently building multiple projects in the Botlek industrial area.
These projects are less than 10 km apart,
located close to highway A15, west of Rotterdam. You will be seconded to one of these
project sites, depending on workload.
Client Key Performance Indicators
The worker must be committed to the BSP (Basic Safety Process) culture and
deliverables as required by the project and daily supervisor reporting where required.
Including safety audits, tool box talks, reporting and positive engagement in the field
as part of supervisory duties.
The worker must comply to the Client Learnex training requirements for the duration
of the assignment. Training requirements will form part of a minimum mandatory
onboarding duration of one week in relevant client head office. Learnex online
training will be completed as part of onboarding then on a regular update and
renewal basis as required for the specific role profile. It is up to the individual to
maintain keep their own training records up to date.
As part of field supervisory duties, it is expected that the individual will work in close
collaboration with the project quality department and ensure intimate understanding
of relevant discipline quality and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's). Implementation of
ITP's and monitoring contractor quality performance is a key responsibility of
construction field supervision.
Furthermore, each individual construction supervisor will be expected to issue a daily
report related to their discipline and including observations and metrics on safety,
quality, contractor resources, equipment, contractor performance including any
impact to schedule or cost. Report template to be provided my project.
