Scope of Work

  • HSE
    • Initiate, prepare, coordinate and participate in ad-hoc Risk Assessments with either major risks department or offshore when identified as urgent support to offshore.
    • Follow up on daily environmental figures including identifying bad actors. Initiate and participate in task forces if deep dive is needed to identify/solve the issue.
    • Ensure discharge permit is updated when new products must be discharged (test trial, temporary substitution, or restart after long term shut in).
    • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, DGS etc.
    • Interface between offshore and onshore to nominate/identify offshore participants.
    • Participate in HIPO investigation when requested.
    • Assist with procedure roll-out on site.
  • Projects
    • Participate in project meetings when daily operation is impacted by a project that must be executed.
  • Calculate Shortfalls
    • Optimize down-time duration by, e.g., finding temporary solutions.
    • Liaise with Procurement when urgent materials are needed. This includes identifying parts and vendors for supply or repair.
    • Create break-in and ensure parts are shipped offshore as fast as possible when identified.
  • Safety Critical Equipment
    • Inflow- and HIPPS test.
    • Follow up with PFAC to ensure none are overdue.
    • Identify opportunities to execute tests to minimize production losses.
    • ESDV BDV compliance.
  • RFM Responsibility
    • Raise and comment when needed according to procedure.
  • Procedure
    • Development of minor procedures for urgent use.
    • Participate with operational experience when needed by TIER 2.
    • Forward input to TIER 2 for procedure updates.
  • Shut Down Planning
    • Identify and align Shutdown activities across departments (Inspection, Corrosion, Maintenance).
    • Identify driver scope for planning phase.
    • Address and highlight extension of FFS's if possible or include in SD scope.
  • Work Program
    • FFS Coordination.
    • During daily operation, identify tasks that can be coordinated to optimize production, including inter-platform coordination (DUCSAT, Well service / Well performance).
  • General
    • Serve as Deputy when Smart Lead is out of office.
    • Interface with several departments onshore.
    • Drive operational optimization and performance (Water inj -OIW, Fuel, Flare, liftgas, chemicals).
    • Participate in RCA as required.
    • Main interface between offshore and onshore in production and operational matters.
    • Support offshore to escalate topics and access support from the best competent people.
    • Review plans and attend planning meetings, e.g., 5W planning meetings.
    • Identify improvement opportunities in daily operations and ad-hoc situations.
    • Focus on supporting offshore in achieving operational KPIs.
    • Provide first diagnostics and first-line assistance to offshore as needed.
    • Contribute to SIMOPS dossiers, Standing Instructions, Derogation Requests, P&ID Line Marking Up, Isolation Plans, Flushing Procedures, Inerting Procedures, Operating Procedures, etc.
    • Lead production-related initiatives/minor projects.
    • Coach, train, and support Production Methods Engineers.
    • Provide Tier 1 assistance to site.
    • Support DGS and Integrity Management.
    • Support the Derogation Process.

Requirements

    Bachelors - Master degree in Science / Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
  • Specific Knowledge
    • High and broad level of operational knowledge
    • Knowledge in various disciplines: Maintenance, Fabric Maintenance, Inspection, Project, Operation, Wells
    • High level knowledge of procedures, guidelines, processes, company rules, technical standards
  • Level of Experience
    10+ years experience in Oil & Gas industry, ideally with background as Production Superintendent or similar offshore exposure.
