  • Prepare short-term look-ahead programmes to support site execution activities.
  • Identify resource constraints and support resource planning activities.
  • Track engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning progress.
  • Support tender and pre-construction teams with programme development and planning strategies.
  • Implement planning standards, procedures, and best practices across projects.
  • Work closely with project leadership teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
  • Support project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Planning Engineer or Senior Planning Engineer within the construction, engineering, MEP, industrial, or building services sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale construction projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare, infrastructure, energy, or major MEP developments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and programme management principles.
  • Experience developing and managing complex construction schedules throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Excellent knowledge of Critical Path Methodology (CPM), programme logic, resource loading, and schedule analysis.
  • Experience producing recovery programmes, acceleration plans, and delay analysis.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement activities, and commissioning requirements.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical installation activities and construction methodologies.
  • Experience working within fast-track construction environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate programme status, risks, and recovery strategies to project teams and senior management.
