Engineering Manager
Location: ManchesterContract Type: Permanent
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Private Medical

Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering delivery across water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, including surveys, design development, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Work closely with civil, process, electrical, and H&S teams to ensure integrated delivery.
- Guide procurement and equipment selection, factoring lead times into the project programme.
- Coordinate external designers and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project objectives and quality standards.
- Carry out site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure consistent health, safety, and environmental compliance across delivery.
- Prepare project reports and status updates, flagging key risks and milestones.
- Feed lessons learned into continuous improvement across the business.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards, preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable managing design budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Confident collaborating across multiple disciplines in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving technical issues.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards, particularly in water and wastewater.
- Proficiency with information management systems and design software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
