Offshore Completion and Well Intervention Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise rig-based completions, workover operations, and rig/platform intervention operations as planned.
  • Guarantee the realization of rig and platform-based operations in accordance with safety, environmental, performance, and cost standards.
  • Oversee operations including up to 30 completions and 30 workovers per year, servicing approximately 500 wells, and managing multiple annual campaigns for slick line, wellhead maintenance, SSSV testing, E-Line, coil tubing, and stimulation.
  • Ensure incident-free operations through effective housekeeping, job planning, and execution, with a focus on zero accidents and zero environmental damage.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork and safety among offshore contractors and ensure all concerns are addressed during pre-job safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company management systems for completions, workover, intervention, and stimulation operations, including preparation, execution, and debriefing.
  • Continuously improve operational quality, service performance, and procedures to contribute to investment profitability.
  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise rig-based completion, workover, and rigless well intervention operations, wellhead maintenance, and stimulation as per written programs.
  • Ensure adequacy of personnel, equipment, and services for safe and efficient operations in compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Interface with relevant engineering and supervisory teams to prepare, review, and mobilize equipment and services.
  • Prepare permits to work (PTW) and job risk assessments (JRA) with offshore teams as required.
  • Report daily to onshore teams regarding all rig and platform-based operations.
  • Lead HSE toolbox talks and pre-job safety meetings before critical operational steps.
  • Participate in equipment stock management and ensure all materials are mobilized and tracked according to plan.
  • Capture contractor performance and provide feedback to onshore support teams.
  • Prepare material request lists, offshore instructions, and operational programs for various intervention activities.
  • Participate in warehouse activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of completions, workover operations, slick line, E-Line, coil tubing, stimulation, wellhead maintenance operations, and equipment, including management of service companies.
  • Strong safety orientation and ability to interface safely and efficiently with production and drilling teams.
  • Knowledge of smart completions, including equipment design, function, testing, deployment, and recovery.
  • Experience with control line management on rigs, smart completion, and preparation/running of long or complex sub-assemblies.
  • Expertise in well intervention (slickline, e-line, coiled tubing, stimulation) and wellhead maintenance (surface wellhead and XT).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 8 years of offshore exposure.
  • Familiarity with operations planning, WellView, standard office software, and ERP systems is a plus.
  • IWCF Level 4 Well Intervention Certificate or Drilling (renewed every 2 years), T-BOSIET (every 4 years), and H2S certification (every 2 years) required.

Working Environment

  • Rotational, rig/platform-based offshore position, with onshore work as required for operational preparations.
  • Conventional offshore oil and gas field with approximately 500 wells, including oil producers (gas lifted) and water injectors in an H2S environment.
  • Operations involve extended reach departure wells in carbonate layers and depleted reservoirs, with smart completions for oil producers and water injectors.
  • High technical risk and performance environment due to operational costs and production objectives.
