Senior Crisis Management Officer

Job Purpose

Support the delivery of crisis management asset-based programs and systems in the implementation of the company's overall crisis management objectives and programs, including providing advisory support to relevant stakeholders to address threats, hazards, planned events, and other emergencies.

Job Context & Major Challenges

• Support the coordination of crisis management strategies, policies, and procedures in line with emerging regulations and changing requirements for both onshore and offshore assets.
• Provide portfolio guidance and program management delivery related to crisis management systems for all assigned asset packages.
• Apply analytical, interpretative, and constructive thinking, exercising significant evaluative and professional judgment.
• Advise and support the delivery of incident command and management training for Incident Command Teams, Incident Management Teams, and Crisis Management Teams.
• Provide guidance in high-pressure incident management environments and deliver coaching to team members and asset leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of crisis management readiness, response, and recovery policies and procedures.
• Support assigned assets and projects to ensure all Emergency Response Plans and related documents align with strategic crisis management guidance and are kept up to date.
• Plan and assist in the coordination of crisis management exercise programs and support the coordination of necessary resources for successful delivery.
• Deliver performance assessments of crisis management exercises and submit detailed reports to support evaluations and actions for compliance.
• Provide operational strategic support to Asset and Core Response teams during disruptive incidents.
• Prepare and organize final submissions of reports on completed exercises, analyzing recurring action items to contribute to operational risk reduction.
• Provide bi-weekly Duty Response Manager (DRM) capability to deliver immediate activation of Incident Management Teams and/or Crisis Management Team in emergencies.
• Ensure operational readiness of assigned Incident Command, Incident Management, and Crisis Management Centers, and address issues identified through inspections and reports.
• Support the operational functionality of the Emergency Notification System to ensure effective emergency response.
• Facilitate delivery of Incident Command System (ICS) training, monitoring performance efficiency and skill gaps of response teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management, disaster management, engineering, business administration, or safety & risk management.
• Associate Emergency Managers (AEM) Designation.
• Incident Command System Level 100-200-300 certification.
• Incident Command System Train-The-Trainer (TOT) Instructional Certification for ICS 100 & 200.
• Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO) Major Emergency Management Initial Response Training (MEMIR).
• 8 years of experience in emergency management, response, or crisis management, preferably within large oil and gas organizations.
• Demonstrated experience in tactical and strategic leadership roles within various crisis incidents.
• Wide-ranging knowledge of crisis/incident command and management systems, including organizational crisis management competency delivery mechanisms.
