Construction Superintendent - Solar
Location: Clinton, ME (must live within an hour of Clinton, ME)

Position Overview
An experienced Construction Superintendent is required to support the construction of a solar project. The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field construction activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements. Candidates with solar experience are preferred, but those with commercial, industrial, or electrical construction backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities on site
- Coordinate electrical, civil, and other subcontractors
- Manage subcontractor performance, manpower, and daily work activities
- Monitor construction progress against project schedules
- Develop and manage short-term look-ahead schedules
- Conduct regular site walks and identify potential construction issues
- Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Coordinate material and equipment deliveries
- Enforce site safety requirements and OSHA standards
- Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Provide daily progress and construction updates to project leadership
- Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Help resolve field issues to keep construction moving on schedule
Requirements
- 4+ years of construction supervision or Superintendent experience
- Experience managing subcontractors and field construction activities
- Background in electrical, commercial, industrial, or renewable energy construction
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
- Solar construction experience is preferred but not required
- Electrical construction experience is highly desirable
- Must be able to work on site in Nauvoo, Illinois
