Job Brief

A multi-national corporation providing consulting, engineering, and architecture services internationally is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Requirement Leader to join its team on a major green steel project, reporting to the Requirement Manager.

In this role, and following the established guidelines under the direction of the Project Requirements Manager, you will oversee one of the different Construction Areas that are part of the project: Meltshop Plant, Hot Strip Mill, Cold Mill Complex, Balance of Plant (Water Treatment Plants and Waste Heat Recovery) and General Site Infrastructure (Substation, Pump station, etc.). You will be responsible for ensuring the area stakeholders develop their systems efficiently to meet the established Construction Area requirements, and that a plan is laid out to ensure those requirements are confirmed as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Requirement Management as part of a PMC Team, exceptional attention to detail, a proactive mindset, logical thinking, keen organisational ability, and strong leadership skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Follow the established guidelines on Project Requirements Management and, under the direction of the Project Requirements Manager, deploy and manage the requirements processes to be used in the assigned Construction Area from initial requirements gathering through final acceptance.
  • Ensure that implementation requirements of the assigned Construction Area are aligned with the contractual requirements and that proper controls are exercised to ensure new scope items are scrutinized and specified correctly.
  • Coordinate with Contract and Change Management Teams within the assigned Construction Area for implementation activities of post-implementation Change Requests.
  • Deploy the project requirements strategy, working with internal and external groups within the Construction Area.
  • Establish a strong culture of requirements management within the Construction Area Project Team (internal and external teams).
  • Within the Construction Area, prioritize requirements and establish proposed timelines for the delivery of potential capabilities to meet those requirements with requirement documents that focus on capabilities, cost, and performance measures.
  • Engage relevant functional and technical teams within the Construction Area for design, development, and testing activities around client requirements.
  • Ensure that the designs of any Construction Area-specific enhancements or change requests are in line with all existing Construction Area functionalities or align as closely as possible to current system designs.
  • Oversee updates to project deliverables within the Construction Area, including requirements documentation, change control, and traceability matrices.

Requirements and Skills

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Project/Program Management.
  • Previous work experience as a Requirement Leader or similar role, with more than 5 years of experience.
  • Regular interaction with project members on matters concerning multiple functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
  • Ability to track, categorize, and prioritize issues and risk items with engineering and stakeholders of the Construction Area, and collaborate regularly with the Risk Management team.
  • Participation in Risk Review Meetings with all relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to help assess risks and mitigation actions.
  • Strong team spirit and good analytical skills.
  • Experience in medium to large scale EPC/EPCM/PMC projects.
  • Willingness to commute to the north of Sweden 3 weeks per month.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English.
