Quality Manager
Working Location: Boden, Sweden
Residential / Rotation: 3 weeks on office/site, 1 week remote, on rotation (Working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day)
Contract Type: Annually renewable contract

A multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services internationally is constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce green steel. Green steel production emits up to 95 percent less CO2 compared with conventional steel production.
Job Brief
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for assuring the quality of the project. You will develop and implement quality management systems, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with project standards and regulations.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building a solid quality system. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality assurance, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for products or services, ensuring products and services meet all relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Oversee quality assurance and control processes, conduct audits, and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues and non-conformities. Update the project Quality Management System (QMS) with non-conformities and improvements. Prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Work with other departments, such as product development, engineering, and customer service, to ensure quality standards are met, including involvement during the awarding processes of vendors contracts.
- Determine quality metrics and set and track quality assurance goals.
- Coordinate occasional audit visits to vendors and contractors.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and notified bodies and ensure legal compliance.
Requirements and Skills
- At least 10 years of previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methods.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth understanding of technical documentation, procedures, and test plans.
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, with strong analytical skills.
- Experience in medium to large scale EPC/EPCM projects.
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
