Role Objective / Success Criteria

  • Ensure accurate ongoing accounting for capital investments and high-quality financial reporting.
  • Contribute actively to month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and provide reliable information for investment follow-up.
  • Ensure accounting and reporting comply with applicable regulations, accounting principles and internal guidelines.
  • Support the development, standardisation and continuous improvement of accounting and closing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for ongoing accounting relating to capital investments and selected balance-sheet accounts.
  • Perform account reconciliations, analysis, VAT reconciliations and VAT reporting.
  • Handle matters relating to tax, fixed assets and investment accounting.
  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Support the business with ongoing finance and accounting queries.
  • Produce reports, analyses and supporting information for audit, internal follow-up and business planning.
  • Provide accounting expertise and act as an advisory partner in relevant meetings and forums.

Tasks

  • Reconcile and analyse selected balance-sheet accounts and ensure that discrepancies are addressed correctly.
  • Prepare closing documentation and support monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Structure and manage matters within the fixed-asset register.
  • Prepare recurring information for investment follow-up and business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory accounting, IFRS and internal governance documents.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting procedures and finance processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and business functions to ensure complete and accurate financial information.

Deliverables

  • Accurate and up-to-date ongoing accounting for assigned areas.
  • Completed account and VAT reconciliations with documented analysis.
  • Complete and reliable closing documentation.
  • Reports and analyses supporting audit, investment follow-up, internal governance and business planning.
  • Accurate maintenance and follow-up of the fixed-asset register.
  • Documented process improvements and more efficient accounting procedures.

Decision Authority / Responsibility

  • Take independent responsibility for quality and accuracy within assigned accounting areas.
  • Identify, investigate and escalate material discrepancies, risks and accounting issues.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting procedures, controls and ways of working.
  • Maintain effective coordination with relevant colleagues and business functions.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in ongoing accounting, financial closing or comparable duties within an investment-intensive organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory accounting, IFRS and closing processes.
  • Relevant experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, tax, VAT and fixed-asset accounting.
  • Education in finance or accounting, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with procurement and ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Experience improving and streamlining accounting procedures is advantageous.
  • Experience with business-intelligence tools such as Power BI is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to work independently, methodically and accurately.
  • Fluent spoken and written Swedish.
