The Opportunity

As the Lead Process Engineer, you will take ownership of the process engineering discipline across major engineering studies and project execution. You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders and ensure all engineering deliverables are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the process engineering discipline throughout concept, front-end engineering and detailed design phases.
- Manage and mentor a team of process engineers, providing technical guidance and support throughout project execution.
- Deliver safe, technically sound and cost-effective process engineering solutions in accordance with schedules and budgets.
- Develop, review and approve key engineering deliverables including:
- Design Basis
- Process Design Criteria
- Process Descriptions
- Process Simulations
- Heat and Material Balances
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Equipment datasheets and specifications
- Utility and chemical consumption summaries
- Process safety documentation
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, international engineering codes, internal procedures and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, civil and structural, and project management teams.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and other process safety reviews.
- Provide engineering support during procurement, vendor package reviews, construction, commissioning and start-up activities.
- Review engineering work completed by team members to ensure technical excellence and consistency.
- Support proposals, technical studies and engineering estimates where required.
- Drive continuous improvement through the development of engineering procedures, standards and best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will bring strong technical expertise together with demonstrated leadership experience on large-scale engineering work.

You will ideally have:

- Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 10+ years of process engineering experience within oil and gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining or energy transition industries.
- Proven experience leading process engineering teams on front-end and execution phases.
- Offshore oil and gas project experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or equivalent process simulation software.
- Excellent understanding of international engineering standards, process safety principles and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage client interfaces.
- Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering LNG, hydrogen, sustainable fuels, carbon capture and petrochemical work will be highly regarded.
