Role Overview
An opportunity to join a major offshore energy operator supporting a brownfield upgrade programme across two producing assets. This role is within the integrated projects team and reports to the Lead I&C Engineer. You will take hands-on responsibility across multiple phases and assets, making a meaningful impact on project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, cause & effect charts and I/O schedules
- Specify and select field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and control valves
- Support DCS/ESD system modifications, including change scoping and factory acceptance testing
- Review vendor documentation and manage technical queries through to close-out
- Provide site support during installation, commissioning and start-up phases
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (IEC 61508/61511, ATEX/IECEx)
Requirements
- BEng/MEng in Instrumentation, Electrical or Control Engineering (or equivalent)
- 8+ years of I&C engineering experience in oil & gas, with brownfield modification experience
- Working knowledge of DCS and safety instrumented systems (experience with major OEMs preferred)
- Familiarity with hazardous area classification and functional safety lifecycle
- Offshore survival certification (BOSIET) desirable, or willingness to obtain
