Graduate Electrical Engineer
Location: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaEmployment: Permanent, full time

Role Purpose
Join an engineering team in Kuala Lumpur delivering Australian substation, transmission, and related power projects. Graduates will receive structured technical guidance while contributing to real design work, calculations, drawings, reports, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical calculations, drawings, schedules, specifications, and technical reports.
- Support primary, secondary, transmission, or related power engineering packages according to project needs.
- Gather and check design inputs and maintain clear calculation and document records.
- Use engineering software and drafting tools under appropriate supervision.
- Participate in design reviews and close out comments and actions.
- Coordinate with engineers, drafters, and project staff across different disciplines and locations.
- Apply quality, safety in design, and document control procedures.
- Develop knowledge of Australian power systems, utility practices, and applicable standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- A sound academic foundation in power systems, electrical machines, protection, or high-voltage engineering.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback.
- Ability to explain technical work clearly in written and spoken English.
- Basic competence with Microsoft Office and relevant engineering tools.
- Malaysian citizen, Malaysian permanent resident, or valid Residence Pass-Talent holder.
Desirable Experience
- Internship, project, or thesis experience related to power systems, substations, transmission, or renewable energy.
- Exposure to AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerFactory, PSCAD, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Participation in engineering societies, technical competitions, or team projects.
Working Environment
This is a permanent, office-based position in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will work as part of an international engineering team, with most assignments supporting power infrastructure projects in Australia. Some collaboration outside standard Malaysian office hours may occasionally be required to support project meetings and deadlines.
