Field Engineer - Offshore / Onshore Installation

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Field Engineers to support upcoming offshore and onshore installation activities in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidates will have strong field-based experience within offshore Oil & Gas construction and installation, with relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Pipeline Installation
- Float-Over Installation
- Subsea Installation
- Grouted Jacket Installation
Candidates must be comfortable working across both onshore and offshore environments and be capable of supporting construction and installation activities from engineering through to execution and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide field engineering support for onshore and offshore construction and installation activities.
- Support the execution of installation scopes in accordance with approved engineering documentation, procedures and project specifications.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements and installation procedures.
- Provide technical support to construction and offshore installation teams.
- Coordinate with Construction, Installation, Engineering, HSE and Project teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
- Monitor installation activities and ensure they are carried out in accordance with approved procedures and engineering requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during construction and installation activities.
- Assist with planning and preparation of installation activities, including reviewing lifting, installation and sequencing requirements.
- Liaise with subcontractors and other project stakeholders as required.
- Monitor progress and provide technical input into daily and periodic reporting.
- Assist with inspections, testing, punch-list activities and project close-out.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with project HSE requirements.
- Support offshore mobilisation and demobilisation activities as required.
Required Experience
- Engineering qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Offshore Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven field engineering experience within the offshore Oil & Gas industry.
- Relevant installation experience in one or more of:
- Pipeline installation
- Float-over installation
- Subsea installation
- Grouted jacket installation
- Offshore structural installation
- Heavy lift / offshore construction
- Experience working on major offshore construction and installation projects.
- Ability to work effectively in both onshore and offshore environments.
- Strong understanding of offshore construction methodologies, installation procedures and project execution.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong commitment to HSE and safe working practices.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with major EPC/EPCI contractors and offshore installation contractors is highly advantageous.
- Candidates with experience working for leading offshore/EPC contractors would be of particular interest.
Working Environment
The role will require flexibility to work between onshore project locations in Abu Dhabi and offshore locations, depending on project requirements. Candidates must therefore be willing and able to work offshore when required and comply with all relevant offshore medical, safety and certification requirements.
