Job Title: Engineering Lead (Electrical - Power Supply)
Working Location: Qatar Onshore - Doha, Qatar Onshore - Raslaffan
Contract Type: 36-Month Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Job Purpose
- Oversee Electrical Engineering activities in the NFS Onshore Project, ensuring all technical requirements (specifications, data sheets, etc.) are compliant with project requirements, standardized processes, and delivered to the highest technical quality standards.
- Provide guidance to EPC contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, facilitating the resolution of electrical technical issues to complete electrical engineering activities such as design, procurement, and integration to meet project objectives and milestones.
- Steward across various phases of electrical engineering during installation, pre-commissioning, site acceptance test, and commissioning activities.
- Offer ad hoc field engineering assistance during start-up and early operations phases until performance tests are completed.

Reporting and Relationships
- Reports to Engineering Area Manager (Field).
- No direct reports.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders from Process, I&CS, Telecom, Mechanical, Machinery, Civil/Structural, and Loss Prevention teams, as well as Project Engineers within the NFS Onshore Project organization.
- Interfaces regularly with Construction, Quality, Operations, SHEQ, and Engineering departments as required.
- Engages externally with regulatory bodies, EPC contractors, vendors, sub-contractors, specialist consultants, and occasionally shareholder representatives.

Job Context & Major Challenges
- Ensure all technical electrical engineering activities by EPC contractors and third parties are executed to project specifications and requirements.
- Handle technical evaluations and resolve complex electrical engineering issues that impact project execution and outcomes.
- Manage the EPC contract and the electrical engineering team to produce timely deliverables.
- Maintain constructive relationships with EPC contractors and key stakeholders while ensuring delivery of quality engineering work.
- Tackle large scale and high voltage electrical power supply and demand requirements.

Key Job Accountabilities
1. Ensure execution of work is technically aligned and compliant with company policies, standards of business conduct, and project management systems.
2. Lead electrical engineering design and planning, ensuring detailed design meets regulatory, industry, and project standards.
3. Resolve electrical discipline issues to fulfill project goals, escalating to Project Management when necessary.
4. Review and advise on electrical simulations and system optimizations, ensuring safe, efficient design for large generation and distribution systems.
5. Oversee technical aspects of electrical equipment purchases to ensure safe integration into operating facilities.
6. Assess discipline plans and schedules, contributing data and recommendations to address delays and optimize timelines.
7. Develop, update, and amend design/project philosophies, specifications, and procedures relevant to Electrical Engineering.
8. Monitor EPC Contractor deliverables and milestones, recommending technical support where needed.
9. Coordinate and analyze discipline issues, supporting commissioning, start-up, and completion, and make recommendations on Electrical matters.
10. Lead Electrical interface coordination with stakeholders such as NFS offshore, NFE onshore, and power suppliers.

Requirements:

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience
- At least 8 years' experience in Piping Engineering roles, with a minimum of 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight position for contractors, sub-contractors, service, or vendor personnel.
- Preferable experience in a major LNG Project.
- Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, codes, safety criteria, LNG facilities, utility system design, construction, and operations.
- Demonstrated experience with HV/MV/LV electrical systems design, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, electrical system controls for active/reactive power sharing, power distribution, and large (40MW+) motors. Familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and industry codes.
- Experience in high voltage and large-scale onshore power design.
