Key Responsibilities

  • Leading geotechnical assessments and engineering studies
  • Managing project delivery from initial investigation through to design support
  • Reviewing ground investigation data and providing technical recommendations
  • Supporting foundation, earthworks, retaining structure, and slope stability assessments
  • Managing external ground investigation contractors and specialist consultants
  • Producing and reviewing technical reports and design documentation
  • Supporting project planning, commercial reporting, and client engagement
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers
  • Working closely with civil, structural, and multidisciplinary project teams

Requirements

  • Strong geotechnical engineering experience within infrastructure, highways, rail, energy, or civil engineering sectors
  • Experience leading projects and managing technical delivery
  • Good understanding of ground investigations, geotechnical design, and risk management
  • Experience with foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, and slope engineering
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership preferred
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
