Electrical Superintendent

Job Purpose
Responsible for the safe delivery of all electrical construction and commissioning activities on a downstream capital project, working alongside the owner's engineering team and the appointed EPC contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical construction contractors against the project schedule.
- Review and approve electrical work packs prior to release to the field.
- Chair daily field coordination meetings with the construction team.
- Verify cable pulling, terminations and megger testing records.
- Drive close-out of electrical punch list items ahead of energisation.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and site electrical safety rules.
- Report progress and forecast to the construction manager each week.
Requirements
- Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of electrical construction supervision, downstream or petrochemical.
- Demonstrable experience through to energisation and start up.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E and IEEE standards.
- OSHA 30 certification, or willingness to obtain one.
The successful candidate will be site based in Houston for the duration of the project.
