Role Objective

  • Lead the technical delivery of measurement assets and campaigns across renewable-energy projects.
  • Act as the primary technical focal point for selected measurement assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Coordinate internal specialists and external suppliers to ensure measurement solutions are planned, specified, delivered, commissioned, and accepted successfully.
  • Strengthen internal measurement capability through technical standards, improved ways of working, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for measurement assets and campaigns across multiple measurement disciplines.
  • Coordinate subject-matter experts and maintain alignment across technical interfaces, project priorities, and delivery requirements.
  • Manage suppliers and lead technical follow-up throughout design, manufacturing, testing, delivery, and commissioning activities.
  • Support planning and execution throughout the full project and measurement-asset lifecycle.
  • Support technical specification, procurement, commissioning, and acceptance testing of measurement systems.
  • Contribute to technical standards and ways of working while mentoring junior engineers, internal team members, and external consultants.
  • Provide expert support during critical project phases and troubleshooting activities.

Tasks

  • Define technical requirements and delivery plans for measurement assets, campaigns, supplier interfaces, testing, commissioning, and acceptance.
  • Review supplier documentation, designs, procedures, test results, and technical submissions.
  • Coordinate technical reviews and decisions across measurement specialists, project teams, and suppliers.
  • Monitor technical progress, identify delivery risks, and drive corrective actions where required.
  • Support supplier onboarding and attend critical testing and commissioning activities when necessary.
  • Investigate complex measurement-system issues and lead or support troubleshooting through to resolution.
  • Capture lessons learned and incorporate them into standards, processes, and future project delivery.

Deliverables

  • Technically compliant measurement assets and campaigns delivered in line with project requirements.
  • Approved technical specifications, procurement inputs, supplier documentation, technical plans, and review actions.
  • Completed commissioning, testing, and acceptance activities with supporting records.
  • Technical standards, guidance, lessons learned, and improved ways of working.
  • Mentoring, knowledge transfer, and measurable development of internal capability.

Project Documents

  • Measurement-system technical specifications and procurement documentation.
  • Technical plans, schedules, interface records, supplier documentation, and action registers.
  • Test, commissioning, and acceptance procedures and reports.
  • Technical standards, lessons learned, and troubleshooting records.
  • Training, mentoring, and capability-development material.

Decision Authority / Responsibility

  • Act as the technical focal point and provide expert recommendations for assigned measurement assets and campaigns.
  • Coordinate technical decisions across disciplines and escalate issues requiring wider project or management approval.
  • Challenge supplier solutions and documentation where technical, quality, or delivery requirements are not met.
  • Identify and escalate material technical, schedule, supplier, and operational risks.
  • Maintain alignment with agreed project requirements, technical governance, and applicable standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with wind measurement technologies and renewable-energy measurement campaigns; lidar experience is strongly preferred.
  • Broad multi-discipline knowledge and proven technical leadership of measurement assets or campaigns across their lifecycle.
  • Strong supplier-management capability, including technical follow-up, documentation review, and issue resolution.
  • Experience supporting technical specification, procurement, testing, commissioning, and acceptance, with strong planning and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Able to mentor junior engineers, develop internal and external resources, and provide expert support during critical phases and troubleshooting.
  • GWO training is preferred.
  • Available to work primarily from the Gentofte office and undertake limited occasional travel for supplier onboarding, critical testing, and commissioning.
