End Date: 30th September 2027
Work Style: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day (expected 2 days of travel per month to locations in the UK, US, and Poland)

Role Objective

Support measurement and metocean data management across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and quality assurance through to system maintenance and user enablement. Ensure measurement data is available promptly and reliably for project development, bidding activities, and operational requests across EPC asset projects. Improve the scalability, quality, and usability of data-management processes, tools, and supporting systems. Contribute to the long-term strategy for measurement data, automation, and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and optimise measurement-data ingestion processes into relevant platforms.
  • Maintain and improve data-management workflows and the systems that support them.
  • Manage large datasets from metocean monitoring systems, lidar campaigns, structural monitoring systems, and other measurement technologies.
  • Work closely with engineers and subject-matter experts to ensure data quality, traceability, and usability.
  • Establish scalable data-management processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Drive onboarding activities and enable internal users to work confidently with the relevant data platforms and processes.

Tasks

  • Develop scripts, tools, and automations for data ingestion, processing, quality control, and visualisation.
  • Use SQL, APIs, scripting, and Dataiku to manage, transform, and expose measurement data.
  • Perform and support data-quality checks, calibration-related reviews, and QA/QC activities.
  • Investigate data-ingestion, workflow, and system issues and coordinate practical resolutions.
  • Gather user requirements and translate them into improvements to platforms, workflows, and supporting tools.
  • Create and maintain training material, guidance, and onboarding resources for internal users.
  • Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI-enabled workflows safely and effectively.

Deliverables

  • Reliable and timely ingestion of measurement data into relevant platforms.
  • Maintained and improved data-management workflows and supporting systems.
  • Reusable scripts, tools, automations, and data visualisations.
  • Documented scalable processes, standards, and data-management best practices.
  • Training material and completed onboarding support for internal users.
  • Recommendations supporting the long-term measurement-data, automation, and AI strategy.

Project Documents

  • Data-ingestion and workflow documentation.
  • Data-quality, calibration, and QA/QC records.
  • System, script, tool, and automation documentation.
  • User guidance, onboarding resources, and training material.
  • Process standards, best-practice guidance, and strategic recommendations.

Decision Authority / Responsibility

  • Recommend and implement improvements to data-ingestion and data-management workflows within the agreed scope.
  • Define appropriate technical approaches for scripts, tools, automations, and visualisations in collaboration with engineers and subject-matter experts.
  • Identify and escalate material data-quality, system, security, or delivery risks.
  • Maintain alignment with project priorities, end-user needs, and applicable data-governance requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong IT and data-management capability combined with a sound understanding of measurement systems and the physical phenomena represented by the data.
  • Practical experience managing measurement or metocean data across ingestion, processing, quality assurance, and user delivery.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, APIs, and scripting.
  • Experience with Dataiku, workflow automation, and AI-enabled data processes.
  • Understanding of data quality, calibration principles, and QA/QC processes.
  • Experience working with large datasets from metocean monitoring, lidar, structural monitoring, or comparable measurement technologies.
  • Able to develop data-processing and visualisation tools that meet engineering and end-user needs.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, subject-matter experts, and internal users.
  • Able to develop clear training materials and lead user onboarding activities.
  • Able to establish scalable processes and contribute to longer-term data, automation, and AI strategy.
  • Available to work primarily from the Gentofte office alongside the wider team.
