Drill Support Vessel Superintendent
Location: Paramaribo, SurinameContract Type: 3 Year Assignment (Contract Position)
Rotation: 28 days on, 28 days off (7 days per week, 12 hours per day)
Target Start Date: November 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onshore and offshore supervision and coordination of Drill Support Vessel activities in support of development projects.
- Act as the focal point for planning, preparation, and execution of vessel activities, including mobilization of personnel, contractors, and third-party equipment.
- Coordinate all offshore COMOPS and SIMOPS activities between Marine, Drilling, Completion, Subsea, UFR, Field Operations, Geomatics, HSE, and Contractors.
- Support vessel mobilization, operational readiness reviews, engineering assessments, risk evaluations, and integration activities.
- Act as the representative onboard the Drill Support Vessel, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of marine operations.
- Lead planning and execution of Drill Support Vessel operations in support of drilling, subsea, completion, and field operations activities.
- Coordinate mobilization of personnel, ROV systems, lifting equipment, service companies, and third-party packages onboard the vessel.
- Review operational programs, risk assessments, lifting plans, and readiness requirements before execution.
- Support vessel integration, commissioning, and acceptance activities, and witness testing when required.
- Monitor vessel performance and operational readiness, minimizing operational delays and nonproductive time.
- Ensure timely escalation and reporting of operational risks and issues.
- Serve as RSES(D) onboard the Drill Support Vessel and ensure compliance with the Emergency Response Plan.
- Coordinate emergency response activities within the vessel area of responsibility and associated offshore operations.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, marine standards, and applicable international regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years as Vessel Superintendent or Client Representative on offshore construction/support vessels.
- Minimum 5 years of COMOPS/SIMOPS coordination experience.
- Offshore experience involving drilling, subsea construction, ROV, or marine operations.
- Valid BOSIET and offshore medical certification.
- Fluent English.
- Strong operational coordination and reporting skills.
