The C&P Drilling Lead position is responsible for:
- Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct.
- Lead and organize the Drilling Wells and Logistics activities of the Contracts and Procurement entity.
- Assist partner entities for all Contracts and Procurement activities.
- Organize and control the Contracts and Procurement function on a daily basis.
- Supervise and ensure that the strategy is appropriate, transparent and justified for subjects to be presented to the Contracts Committees.
- Lead the drive on cost optimization and reduction through usage of market intelligence information, suppliers' qualifications and evaluations, cost models, target prices, etc.
- Establish and promote continuous improvement of Contracts and Procurement practices, procedures, and reference documentation.
- Lead Duet/Triplet meetings with partner entities and technical manager.
- Coordinate the workload within the entire Contracts and Procurement workforce.
- Manage the DW Contracts and Procurement team in cooperation with the partners entities, respecting the C&P system of reference, the local constraints, and the eventual synergy action plans as defined.
- Ensure the maintenance of the necessary level of competencies for the realization of the Contracts and Procurement activities.
- Ensure the involvement of category management for all Contracts and Procurement activities for which a category exists.
- Ensure the communication of good practices and lessons learned on contractual matters.
- Participate in the job specification, competence assessment, and recruitment process.
ACTIVITIES
- Deliver high-quality dossiers to enable sound decision-making: realistic evaluations and clear identification of risks, uncertainties, and opportunities.
- Ensure the optimization of safety, performance, and productivity in drilling operations.
- Provide technical advice and assistance in selecting technological solutions (vendors, equipment) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of technical competencies within the team.
- Guarantee the choices of reservoir wellbore interface as recommended and validated by the service manager, based on reservoir type and production/injection objectives, as they determine the overall well architecture and cost.
- Influence and convince internal and external stakeholders to align with the company's procurement strategies.
- Implement directives by optimizing processes to achieve medium-term objectives (1-3 years).
- Manage the budget for specific or recurring studies, ranging from 1 to 3 million dollars.
- Oversee activities with a scope between 30 to 500 million dollars, related to CAPEX and Major Risk (Well Blow-Out in drilling/well discipline).
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in leading contracts and procurement activities within drilling or wells operations.
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, market analysis, and cost optimization techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and interacting with partner entities.
- Ability to manage budgets and large-scale projects in a high-stakes environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Adept at process improvement, competency development, and the implementation of best practices.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is advantageous.
- Willingness to be based in Pau, France, with flexibility for long-term commitments.
