About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing international infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Country Business Manager to lead its operations in Norway.
This senior leadership role is responsible for establishing, developing, and overseeing local business activities while ensuring strong operational performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will act as the senior representative in Norway, driving strategic initiatives, building stakeholder relationships, and leading local teams.
Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership
Lead and manage all business activities within Norway.
Develop and execute local business plans aligned with wider corporate objectives.
Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential risks.
Represent the organisation with customers, partners, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Drive operational performance, profitability, and business growth. -
Team Leadership
Recruit, develop, and lead local teams.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Support workforce planning and organisational development.
Manage employee engagement, performance, and succession planning. -
Commercial & Financial Performance
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities.
Monitor commercial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Contribute to business development and customer relationship strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
Support achievement of financial and operational targets. -
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
Maintain effective relationships with relevant authorities and industry bodies.
Identify and mitigate operational, commercial, and compliance risks.
Promote a strong culture of safety, integrity, and ethical business conduct. -
Operations & Growth
Support the mobilisation and growth of operational facilities and services.
Work closely with technical, operational, and commercial teams.
Ensure delivery of high-quality customer outcomes.
Contribute to regional growth and expansion initiatives.
Candidate Profile

Essential Experience
- Senior leadership experience in General Management, Country Management, or Operational Leadership roles.
- Experience managing budgets, commercial performance, and customer relationships.
- Strong track record leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities.
