MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
Job Dimensions
 The job holder participates in the Contracts and Procurement entity, supporting the
full contracting lifecycle for complex services and procurement activities.
 The role works closely with the DUET and internal stakeholders to develop contract
dossiers, define contractual responsibilities and agree tendering/award strategies.
 The position supports contract strategy development, Call for Tender processes, bid
analysis, negotiation and Recommendation To Award (RTA) submissions.
 The job holder ensures insurance matters relating to TEPMA1 assets and personnel
are addressed and supports contract performance monitoring through KPIs and
contract management tools.
 The role is based in Paris and will support a 12-month assignment within a global
energy operator environment.
Activities
 Work closely with the DUET to create contract dossiers, develop clear definitions of
contractual responsibilities and agree contracting priorities and agendas.
 Develop contracting strategies and issue Calls for Tender for complex scopes,
ensuring the business can identify suitable expertise to support different functions.
 Prepare and maintain an up-to-date list of qualified contractors, suppliers, potential
tenderers and contracts with updated market information.
 Perform market studies and analyse/assess market responses to support tendering
and supplier selection decisions.
 Conduct commercial bid analysis and negotiation, ensuring clear alignment between
commercial, technical and contractual documentation.
 Establish technical contracts and contractual agreements, directly participating in the
development and management of the most complex contracts.
 Lead Recommendation To Award (RTA) preparation and presentation to the
Contracts Committee or relevant DOA approver, with a common recommendation
agreed with the DUET.
 Use existing frame agreements where appropriate and support effective
management of frame agreement activity.
 Ensure contract handover to the relevant Partner Entities and monitor contractor
performance with the DUET, including KPI follow-up and contract management tool
updates.
 Monitor ongoing contract status and participate in contract renewal, amendment and
variation discussions.
 Support C&P management in the settlement of claims and lawsuits, liaising with
Legal, Insurance, Finance and TEPMA1 Management to propose strategies and
participate in negotiations.
 Ensure insurance issues relating to TEPMA1 assets and personnel are properly
managed and addressed.

 Keep informed of best practice in contracts procedures across other entities,
identifying opportunities to improve TEPMA1 contract practices.
 Support C&P management by contributing to performance tracking, KPI monitoring,
planning, organising and coordination of contract activities.
Context and Environment
 Location: Paris, France.
 Contract duration: 12 months.
 Target mobilisation: ASAP.
 The role sits within a Contracts and Procurement environment supporting TEPMA1 /
Mozambique LNG-related contracting activities.
 The job holder will work closely with DUET, Legal, Insurance, Finance, Management
and Partner Entities.
Accountabilities
 Accountable for developing and executing contracting strategies for complex tenders
in line with company procedures and DOA requirements.
 Accountable for ensuring robust commercial analysis, negotiation, contract
documentation and award recommendations.
 Accountable for supporting contractor/supplier qualification, market intelligence and
tenderer list management.
 Accountable for contract handover, performance monitoring, KPI tracking and
ongoing contract status updates.
 Accountable for supporting claims, disputes, amendments, renewals and insurancerelated
matters in collaboration with relevant internal functions.
Qualifications/Experience Required
Qualifications:
 Degree or diploma-level qualification in Law, Engineering, Business, Procurement or
a related discipline preferred.
 CIPS or equivalent procurement/contracting certification would be advantageous.
 Awareness of relevant contract standards and frameworks such as FIDIC, Incoterms
2020, ICC/UNCITRAL arbitration principles and ISO 9001/14001/45001 is beneficial.
Experience:
 Minimum 3 years of Contracts and Procurement / contracts experience.
 Experience in technical or complex contracts within construction, oil & gas, LNG,
EPC or major project environments is preferred.
 Experience with TAS / manpower contracts and contracting processes is strongly
preferred.
 Mandatory knowledge of SAP / UNISOL MM.
 TotalEnergies experience and knowledge of TotalEnergies C&P procedures, tools
and systems such as UNISOL, IMPACT and SMART would be advantageous.
 Experience developing contracting strategies, managing complex tenders, analysing
commercial bids and negotiating contractual terms.
 Experience preparing and presenting Recommendations To Award (RTA) to
Contracts Committee / DOA approvers.

 Experience with frame agreements, contractor performance monitoring, KPI tracking
and contract handover processes.
 Claims, disputes and contract amendment/renewal experience would be beneficial.
Languages:
 Fluent / operational English required.
 French language capability is advantageous.
 Portuguese language capability would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Soft Skills:
 Strong negotiation, commercial analysis and stakeholder management skills.
 Ability to work cross-functionally with DUET, Legal, Finance, Insurance and
Management stakeholders.
 Strong planning, organising, coordination, problem-solving and communication
capability.
 Ability to support training, mentoring and knowledge sharing within the Contracts and
Procurement function.
