Key Responsibilities
- Review installation design, plans, procedures, and documentation prepared by the contractor to ensure compliance with project specifications and installation scope.
- Complete all required training to support the project team as a Company Site Representative (CSR).
- Act as the primary point of contact onboard for the project vessel and lead the supervision team, ensuring appropriate manning levels for safe supervision.
- Oversee and monitor the progress of the contractor's completion process.
- Report progress and status daily, weekly, and at milestones to the Installation Manager.
- Participate in installation risk assessments and implement mitigation measures in coordination with the risk management team.
- Ensure the contractor's HSE plan for the vessel is properly integrated with the company's HSE plan.
- Lead regular safety walks and hazard hunts on the installation vessel.
- Provide verified information to the reporting system for full tracking of installation events and help mitigate potential change orders.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the operations team on the vessels.
- Monitor and witness offshore installation activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Report technical issues to the Installation Manager for documentation review or during installation and mobilization progress meetings.
- Liaise with project team specialists, marine/logistics specialists, or third parties as required.
- Contribute to lessons learned and the project close-out report.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in preparing vessel campaigns, including installation procedure review, HIRA, readiness review, in-country mobilization, and logistics.
- Proven ability to ensure safe, on-schedule, and high-quality execution of installation campaigns.
- Experience ensuring that marine warranty surveyors can carry out their scope of work with suitable documentation and attendance to tests, operations, and vessels.
- Ability to ensure regulatory duties and permits are fulfilled prior to commencing work.
- Degree in Engineering or similar field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry with related offshore technical, quality, and HSE oversight experience.
- At least 10 years of offshore pipelay installation experience, including experience with reel-lay technique.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced, international, and multi-cultural environments.
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to manage interfaces between multiple contractors as part of a small, flexible team.
- Proven accountability and responsibility for assigned areas of work.
- Onboard vessel experience managing offshore installation contractors and supporting inspection services and HSE oversight.
- Fluency in English.
- Current BOSIET and OGUK Medical certification required prior to mobilizing offshore.
