Key Responsibilities

  • Review installation design, plans, procedures, and documentation prepared by the contractor to ensure alignment with project specifications and installation scope.
  • Complete all required training to support the project team as a Company Site Representative (CSR).
  • Act as the primary point of contact on board for the MTV and lead the supervision team onboard, evaluating appropriate manning levels for safe supervision.
  • Oversee and monitor the progress of the contractor's completion process.
  • Report progress and status to the Installation Manager, sharing daily, weekly, and milestone updates.
  • Participate in installation risk assessments and follow mitigation measures in coordination with the risk management team.
  • Ensure the contractor's HSE plan for the vessel is properly integrated with the company's HSE plan.
  • Lead regular safety walks and hazard hunts on the installation vessel.
  • Supply verified information to the reporting system for full tracking of installation events and assist in mitigating potential change orders.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the operations team on the vessels.
  • Monitor and witness offshore installation activities, ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Report technical issues to the Installation Manager for documentation review or during installation and mobilization progress meetings.
  • Liaise with project team specialists, marine/logistics specialists, or third parties as required.
  • Contribute to project lessons learned and close-out reports.

Requirements

  • Experience in preparing vessel campaigns, including installation procedure review, HIRA, readiness review, in-country mobilization, and logistics.
  • Proven track record in the safe, timely, and high-quality execution of installation campaigns.
  • Ability to ensure the MWS can carry out scope of work with suitable documentation and attendance to tests, operations, and vessels.
  • Ensure regulatory duties and permits are fulfilled by both contractor and company prior to work commencement.
  • Degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry with related offshore technical, quality, and HSE oversight experience.
  • At least 10 years of offshore pipelay installation experience, including reel-lay technique.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced, international, and multi-cultural environments.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to manage interfaces between multiple contractors as part of a small, flexible team.
  • Proven accountability and responsibility for assigned work areas.
  • Onboard vessel experience managing offshore installation contractors and supporting inspection services and HSE oversight.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Current BOSIET and OGUK Medical certification prior to mobilizing offshore.
