Summary
We are looking to bring a BIM Manager on board to join the Metals and Minerals team and take part in a pioneering international project in the steel sector, located in Northern Sweden. This role will play a key part in the leadership, coordination, and BIM governance of the project, working from our offices in Northern Sweden.
The role is clearly management-oriented, with real responsibility for the BIM implementation of the project, reporting directly to the Engineering and Project Management leadership. This is not a modelling position, but one focused on leadership, coordination, and decision-making, supported by a solid technical foundation.
You will have the opportunity to participate in national and international projects as part of a team where you will have the support to push your professional boundaries and improve your skills every day. In a multidisciplinary environment you will be exposed to the latest technologies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, lead, and maintain the project's BIM strategy, ensuring its correct implementation throughout the entire lifecycle.
- Exercise BIM governance, guaranteeing compliance with standards, processes, deadlines, quality requirements, and contractual commitments related to BIM.
- Coordinate and manage internal and external BIM teams, as well as interactions between disciplines, engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage complex interfaces between disciplines and companies, anticipating risks and proposing mitigation measures.
- Oversee BIM progress tracking, issue management, clashes, and conflicts from a global project perspective.
- Act as the main BIM point of contact for the client, providing technical judgement, autonomy, and problem-solving capability.
- Lead the definition and monitoring of reporting, KPIs, and BIM dashboards to support decision-making.
- Promote BIM best practices, continuous improvement, and a culture of collaboration in digital environments.
- Ensure proper use of collaborative platforms and CDEs, without becoming involved in operational modelling tasks.
Requirements and Skills
- Engineer or Architect.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in BIM environments, with proven experience in BIM Manager roles or BIM leadership in industrial or large-scale projects.

- Experience working on international projects with multiple stakeholders and multicultural environments.
- Strong communication skills, organization, and ability to lead multidisciplinary meetings.
- Autonomy, proactivity, clear judgement, and the capability to make decisions.
- A solid BIM technical foundation that allows you to oversee tools and processes without needing an operational approach.
